 Joined 6/24/2024 Loc: Mo, USA | Posted 9/27/2025 7:38:48 AM CST (Last edited 9/28/2025 7:19:19 AM CST) I’m running a 6 foot Technical Innovations Home Dome with Digital Dome Works hardware and software. I’m trying to control the dome in NINA through ASCOM. The DDW application connects reliably on COM 3 via USB to serial. I have ASCOM Platform 7 installed and the latest DDW ASCOM driver. However, when I try to connect through ASCOM I get this error: “Unable to write Dome.Connected property.” I’m transitioning off TheSkyX and my Paramount, so getting NINA working with the dome is the last piece. Anyone else ever experience this? Explorer of the cosmos, one photon at a time. I capture the universe with a collection of about 12 telescopes, including the SCA310, Astro-Physics 155 EDF Starfire, TEC 180FL, and Takahashi Epsilon 160ED, and my beloved FSQ-106EDX4. Paired with advanced imaging systems - including the medium-format ZWO ASI461MM and ASI6200MM Pro with Chroma filters - these precision instruments help me reveal the faint structures, rich colors, and extraordinary detail hidden in the night sky. |
