Some days it refuses to home at startup and won’t slew at all. Then the very next day, from a cold start with power completely off beforehand, it will home flawlessly and slew to a dozen sky targets without issue. It can repeat this cycle multiple times—working perfectly one day, then failing to even home the next. I have videos of it working fine, then dying the next day. It makes no sense and I'm about at the end of my rope with it. The mount is controlled by an HP laptop running TheSkyX Pro Version 10.5.0 Build 13960 (64-bit).
I’ve tested the behavior with the mount completely unloaded, and also with my 160ED riding on it. The pattern is the same either way. It can work beautifully for days straight, then suddenly refuse to home the next time I power it up. I just get DING DING DING DING, immediately on home, or sometimes mid-slew.. I’m going a little crazy trying to pin this down. Has anyone else seen a mount behave like this—cycling between flawless performance and total refusal to home?
