![]() Joined 2/23/2015 Loc: Mo, USA | Posted 9/22/2024 9:56:21 AM CST We have one of the older ES6 domes on my roof with the Digital Dome Works shutter motor that is a corkscrew open/close. The shutter cable frayed and broke many moons ago (10 years) and we operate the door manually...from a ladder...with a broom handle... I have made several attempts at installing a new cable set but can't get it done for the life of me. How in the world are you supposed to wind 20+ windings each way with a super long cable, without it all going back to a rats nest, seems like Hogwarts-style wizardry. My ask... First, does anyone have the installation instructions for how the cables are supposed to be replaced? I have the written ones from Jerry - but it's hard to follow. I'm probably just complicating it, but I need help. I mean the cable-routing one that came with your DDW? Second - any photos of your setup would be a dream. A video of the cable routing will earn you "serendipitous cosmic luck" (you might win the lottery). Thank you!
