This handsome display box has a black pebblegrain finish and a glass lid to protect the contents. Inside the display box is a piece of genuine meteorite (space rock!). The display has a vintage astronomy theme showing children stargazing with an old refractor telescope. The meteorite is an unclassified stony chondrite that was found in the Saharan desert by Bedouin nomads.
The display box measures approx. 3" x 4" inches. The box can opened and the meteorite can be taken out and handled. Refer to the photo. The black centimeter cube is shown for scale and is not included. Note, each meteorite fragment is unique and the appearance may vary slightly. The meteorite is a stony chondrite type and is about the size of a dime.
