The details about the new Askar Focal Plane Adjuster

The Askar Focal Plane Adjuster is designed to make precise adjustments to the tilt of the focuser or camera sensor, thus enhancing the image quality.

Unlike most focal plane adjustment tools on the market, which rely on a three-point push-pull mechanism that may inadvertently affect the back focus by changing the relative distance between the two end adapters.

The Askar focal plane adjuster uses a unique spherical adjustment design. This method adjusts the tilt angle without affecting the relative distance, ensuring more accurate and consistent adjustments.

The Askar Focal Plane Adjuster aims at being simple to use, with no need for additional tools, and it also eliminates the need for repeated disassembly and adjustment when attaching a camera or other required accessory. Just rotate the handle to adjust the tilt angle for added convenience.

The overall thickness of the Askar focal plane adjuster is 18mm, which is the same as the thickness of the M48 filter threaded ring at the rear end of the reducer or flattener of some of the telescopes of Sharpstar Optics. Users with specific Sharpstar telescopes (e.g. APO series, ASKAR V, 71F, 50EDPH) can directly replace the filter thread ring with the Askar Focal Plane Adjuster without recalculating the back focus.
