SkySafari integration enables users to switch between app-based control for object selection and tracking and the Panther Mount's handpad for fine adjustments. This dual functionality combines the app’s robust object-finding capabilities with the handpad's precise movement control, creating a highly customizable observation experience. The option to use the handpad also helps maintain night vision during sessions, allowing for focused observations without screen distractions.

To access this feature, users need:
- TTS-160 Panther Mount (equipped with a NEXUS-II Wi-Fi adapter)
- SkySafari app on a smartphone or tablet
- Firmware version 355 or later on the Panther Mount
Quick setup guide for SkySafari alignment
Getting started with SkySafari is simple:
- Position the mount with the telescope pointing south and horizontal.
- Connect the handpad and NEXUS-II adapter, then power up both the mount and adapter.
- On the handpad, select “Align from PC,” then “Start 2* align.”
- Connect SkySafari to the mount, select your alignment stars, and use the app or handpad for initial slewing. Once centered, align with SkySafari to complete the setup.
