The Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society (CVAS) is hosting the Northwoods Starfest (NWSF) from August 2-4, 2024, at Hobbs Observatory in Beaver Creek Reserve, Wisconsin. This annual event, now in its 38th year, offers a unique opportunity for amateur astronomers to gather under the dark skies of the Northwoods for a weekend filled with astronomical activities and camaraderie.

Participants are encouraged to register early to take advantage of the discounted fee. The registration process is straightforward and can be completed online through the CVAS website. - 7:30 pm: Featured Speaker: Dr. Nathan Miller, University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Topic: "The Music of the Spheres"
- 9:00 pm: Observing session begins
- Midnight: Snacks (Main Lodge). 11:00 pm if cloudy
Saturday, August 3rd:
- 10:00 am – 11:30 am: Brunch and Registration/Check-in (Main Lodge)
- 1:00 pm: Short Talks (Main Lodge)
- 4:00 pm: Swap Fest (Observatory Classroom)
- 5:30 pm: Dinner (Main Lodge) - Ukrainian Stroganoff

The Northwoods Starfest (NWSF) hosted by the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society will take place from August 2-4, 2024, at Hobbs Observatory in Beaver Creek Reserve, Wisconsin.
