Everything started when I was a child of about 10 years old and I looked at planets pictures, galaxies and nebulae pictures in a geography book and learned that there are other planets in our solar system, and other stars like our sun and other galaxies like the milky way in the universe. My interest and curiosity in Astronomy was increasing over the years, and when I was 21 years old, I got my first telescope. It was a Tasco 60mm aperture f/15 refractor, and since I saw the Jupiter atmosphere bands, the rings of Saturn and the Orion nebula, I have been hooked in the Astronomy hobby forever.
With over 20 years of amateur astronomy experience and a computer and electronics repairs background, in November of 2016, I became a member of https://www.cloudynights.com/ (an astronomy equipment forum and classifieds website) with “Astrohobbyist” username and started selling modified DSLR cameras. By the year 2019, I decided to start my own business offering Astro-conversions service for DSLR and Mirrorless cameras to the Amateur Astronomy community and selling modified DSLR and Mirrorless cameras for astrophotography and used astronomy gear. By the end of March 2021, I launched my website https://www.astrogear.net/. As of 2023, besides modified DSLR and Mirrorless cameras sales and conversion service, AstroGear is an authorized dealer to sell Explore Scientific and Svbony telescopes and accessories, Baader filters and accessories and Astronomik filters.
