Steven Miller was born and raised in the stunning Pacific Northwest, where his love for the great outdoors was fostered from a young age in the coastal town of Newport, Oregon. A natural innovator with a passion for technology, Steven pursued his academic dreams at Oregon State University, earning degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science. His career took him to the cutting edge of technology, where he spent years as an engineer and chief technologist at Hewlett-Packard in Vancouver, Washington.

Now retired for six years, Steven channels his boundless energy into a diverse array of hobbies, including windsurfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and mountain climbing. An adventurer at heart, he can often be found split-boarding in the backcountry, casting lines while fishing, clamming, or crabbing, catching waves while surfing, or digging up ancient treasures as a fossil hunter. Amidst all this, his true passion lies in astrophotography, where he has become a trailblazer, pushing the limits of what can be achieved with modern cameras and Dobsonian telescopes. Married with two grown children, Steven's life is a blend of family, adventure, and a relentless pursuit of the stars.
