APM has unveiled their new Double ED Apo Wide Angle Binoculars, featuring models in 8x42 and 10x42. The APM APO 8x42 is set to arrive first in 6 to 8 weeks at a price of $499 with free delivery. Compared to Swarovski NL Pure 8x42, differences are minimal, offering nearly identical daytime and night sky performance. Pre-orders are now open. More details will be updated as we find out more.

A testing sample of the 8x42 binoculars is already in hand. When compared to the Swarovski NL Pure 8x42, the differences are minimal. During daytime use, the APM binoculars perform almost identically to the Swarovski model. At night, the NL Pure has a slightly blacker sky and shows faint stars marginally better due to this enhanced darkness. Additionally, the NL Pure offers slightly better edge correction and overall performance, but these differences are minor and nearly imperceptible to most users.
