Proxisky has introduced the UMi 17R and Ragdoll harmonic mounts, three new products to their lineup: the UMi 17R, a high-precision equatorial mount with advanced servo motors; the Ragdoll 17, an affordable and lightweight mount; and the Ragdoll 20, capable of handling larger payloads up to 20kg without counterweights.

Proxisky, an astro company based in Hong Kong, China that makes strain wave gear mounts, has introduced three more new products after the successful releases of UMi 17 and UMi 17 Lite. They include the servo harmonic UMi 17R, the Ragdoll 17 mount, and the Ragdoll 20, capable of handling a 20kg payload without counterweights.

The introduction of the Ragdoll marks a new application of stepper motor technology in their product line, offering a broader range of options for astronomy enthusiasts. The UMi 17R represents a significant advancement in our pursuit of high precision, rapid response, and portability in equatorial mounts.

The UMi 17R reflects Proxisky's dedication to achieving high precision, rapid response, and portability in equatorial mounts. It features an RA axis driven by an advanced servo motor and a type-17 strain wave gear reducer with a 100:1 reduction ratio. The servo motors include closed-loop feedback systems, ensuring accurate positioning and quick responsiveness. The mount facilitates smooth and prompt positioning adjustments for both movement initiation and cessation. This design enhances observational accuracy and operational efficiency, making it effective for both observation and photography of deep space objects.

The UMi 17R boasts an integrated lightweight design, weighing only 3.4kg with the dovetail saddle and wedge included, which makes it highly portable and suitable for outdoor stargazing trips. With its lightweight integrated structure and high load-bearing capacity with counterweights, the Ragdoll provides optimal support for outdoor stargazing and deep space photography.

The Ragdoll 17 is lightweight and portable, weighing only 4.6kg. It can support equipment up to 13kg without a counterweight and up to 20kg with a counterweight. The Ragdoll 20 enhances the load capacity further, supporting up to 20kg without a counterweight and up to 30kg with a counterweight, making it suitable for larger equipment configurations.

Additionally, the Ragdoll is equipped with an innovative hybrid self-locking design, eliminating backlash during altitude adjustment and requiring no locking maneuvers after adjustments, providing a smoother and more reliable user experience.
