OMI Astro adds new large-aperture telescopes and premium refractors: AG iDK 14.5” and AG iDK 12.5”

This year, OMI Astro has introduced two large-aperture telescopes, the AG iDK 14.5” and the AG iDK 12.5”, offering users the ability to capture stunning deep-sky images with precision. Along with these, a range of premium refractors has been added, including the SkyRover 130APO Pro, Takahashi FSQ106, Takahashi TSA120, Takahashi e-130/e-160/e-180, Takahashi TOA130ns, Cff160 f/6.7, Pentax 75/105 SDHF, and Officina Stellare RH200f3. These additions are designed to meet the diverse needs of astrophotographers, whether they are looking for large-aperture instruments or specialized refractors for high-quality imaging.

Gemini-D1 AG iDK12.5" + Moravian16200

The Gemini-D1 AG iDK 12.5" + Moravian16200 telescope is available at a monthly subscription rate of $1,000 for a 12-month commitment, with an option for a non-raining season rate of $1,600 per month on a pay-as-you-go basis. There is also a $200 Setup & Tech-Support fee, and a deposit will be deducted when the rental fee is charged. For those interested in higher-quality cameras, the system can be upgraded to include the FLI 16803 and Astrodon LRGBHSO filters at a slightly higher cost. The minimum rental term for this telescope is one month.

The Gemini-A19 AG iDK 14.5" + Moravian16803 telescope offers similar pricing options. The 12-month subscription costs $1,200 per month, with a pay-as-you-go rate of $2,000 for the non-raining season. The $200 Setup & Tech-Support fee applies, with the same deposit and billing terms as the 12.5" model. The minimum rental term is also one month.

To enhance the imaging experience, OMI Astro has upgraded some of its APS-H CCD cameras to full-frame CMOS sensors and large-format 16803 CCDs. These improvements are complemented by the addition of 5nm narrowband filters for capturing Ha, SII, and OIII wavelengths, further enhancing the quality of deep-sky astrophotography.

OMI Astro remains committed to offering high-quality equipment and services at competitive prices. Registered users of OMI can take advantage of a 5% discount on all services. The company is dedicated to making astrophotography accessible to a wider audience through its remote telescope rentals, which provide a convenient and cost-effective way to access professional-grade equipment.

Reservations are now open, and all prices listed below are for the deposit required to secure a booking. This deposit will be deducted from the rental fee once it is charged. A one-time Setup & Tech-Support fee of $200 will be applied to all rentals, covering the cost of essential services, including unlimited tech support, paid software like SGP, remote desktop access, and cloud storage. All telescopes will be fully prepared before the first use, including autofocus, guiding, flats, and dark frames.

A three-day testing period is available after the deposit and Setup & Tech-Support fee are received. If the user is not satisfied with the equipment or its performance during this period, the deposit (excluding the Setup & Tech-Support fee) will be refunded. For custom telescope rentals, the minimum rental period is three months. After the deposit is paid, users will be contacted to confirm the booking details, start date, duration, and payment plan. Depending on weather conditions, it may take 1 to 3 weeks to set up the equipment and calibrate it fully, with users being notified once everything is ready.

OMI Astro’s remote telescope rental service allows astrophotographers to access top-tier equipment without the need for expensive equipment purchases or setup. With a wide selection of telescopes, upgraded cameras, and filters, OMI Astro is positioned to support both amateur and professional astrophotographers in their pursuit of stunning deep-sky images.
