The new Acuter Maksy Go 60 mini portable dobsonian telescope is a comprehensive telescope set featuring an easily removable cover. This allows users to delve into the high-quality Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system and understand its workings. This compact and portable telescope is perfect for observing the night sky and capturing images with a smartphone to complement your observations.

Acuter Optics releases the new MAKSYGO-60 Mini Maksutov Dobson telescope

The set includes a 60mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 750mm focal length, 37.5x and 75x magnification eyepieces, an Amici prism for image correction, and a smartphone adapter. Packaged in an attractive gift box with a carrying handle for easy transport, the telescope can also be enhanced with additional standard 1.25" eyepieces for more versatility.

The Maksutov telescope, named after Russian optician and astronomer Dmitri Maksutov (1896-1964), who developed the design in 1941, is perfect for exploring the universe. The Acuter Maksy 60 allows you to follow in his footsteps and discover the wonders of the cosmos.

What others are saying about the MAKSYGO 60 Mini Maksutov Dobson Telescope

Markus Ludes praised the optical quality of the 60 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain, noting its ability to split the famous double star, Epsilon Lyra. He created a star test video demonstrating the telescope's outstanding spherical correction, comparable to those from well-known brands in the Maksutov industry. The telescope features a 0.965" rear port but comes with a hybrid 0.965"/1.25" star diagonal.

Ludes emphasized that this scope is more than just a toy. When fitted with Baader Astrosolar, it shows solar spots remarkably well. The focusing mechanism operates without any visible image shift, and the primary mirror has three collimation screws at the back. The provided eyepieces exceeded expectations with good eye relief, a wide field of view, edge-to-edge sharpness, and excellent contrast and sharpness on axis, rivaling eyepieces costing over $100. According to Ludes, this little Mak is the most perfect travel telescope.
