Adirondack Astronomy Retreat registration opens for 2024

The New Jersey Astronomy Group, in partnership with the College Auxiliary Services at SUNY Plattsburgh, announces the opening of registration for the 2024 David H. Levy Adirondack Astronomy Retreat. The event will take place at the Twin Valleys Outdoor Education Center in Lewis, New York.

  • Retreat #1: July 28 - July 31, 2024
  • Retreat #2: August 1 - August 4, 2024
  • Full Retreat Experience (Including Interim Day): July 28 - August 4, 2024
     

Lodging options:

  • Main Lodge with separate male and female dorms
  • 6-Cot Cabin (shared, no bathrooms in cabins)
     

Meals provided:

  • Full meals are provided during the retreat. Note that only dinner is available on arrival days and brunch on departure days.
     

Registration and cancellation policy:

  • A non-refundable $25 registration fee is required upon booking.
  • Full payment must be completed by July 19, 2024.
  • Cancellations before July 19 are eligible for a refund, minus the registration fee.
     

Attendees are reminded to bring their own pillows and blankets. Arrival is set for no earlier than 3:00 PM on the start date of each session, and departure must be by noon on the final day. This retreat offers a unique opportunity for astronomy enthusiasts to explore the night sky in the serene Adirondack Mountains.
