2024 astrophotography competitions by nPAE

nPAE's 2024 astrophotography competition includes separate events for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The Northern Hemisphere event runs from December 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024, and the Southern Hemisphere event from June 1 to August 31, 2024. Both are free, promote remote imaging, and offer prizes, with winners determined by public voting. The main details and specifications for this year's competitions are below:

Northern hemisphere

• Opens 1st December 2023
• Closes 29th February 2024
• Public Voting 17th to 24th  March 
• Public Vote Winner 25th March
• Northern Hemisphere Winner and runners up 31st March 2024

Southern hemisphere

• Opens 1st June 2024
• Closes 31st August
• Public Voting 19th to 26th September
• Public Vote Winner 27th September
• Southern Hemisphere Winner and runners up 30th September 2024

nPAE World Champion

• nPAE 2024 World Champion Public Vote 21st to 30th October
• nPAE 2024 World Champion Astrophotographer Winner announced 31st October
   

Prizes and awards

• 1st Prize: £ 200 (or your currency equivalent) cash.
• 2nd  Prize: £50 nPAE discount voucher.
• 3rd  Prize: nPAE Gift Pack (Large +Small torch + carbon fibre pen)
• Public Vote: Bragging rights!

Ways to enter nPAE 2024 astrophotography competitions

• All entries must by submitted by email to competition@npae.net in bmp or jpg file formats.
• Photos must support a minimum of 600dpi at 20x20cm.
• All entries must be received by 23:00 on the closing date.
• The closing date can be found at http://www.npae.net/competition/
• All entries must state: Your name; title of your Astro photo; equipment used; digital processing methods employed (if any).
• Participants can enter a maximum of 2 photos
